Paid Internship Program

The Paid Internship Program helps the Friends at BFF gain real-world work experience in competitive, integrated community jobs. The goal is for the internship to lead to permanent paid employment!

The Paid Internship Program (PIP) is a program paid for by the Department of Developmental Services to increase competitive integrated employment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Internship Opportunities Wanted!

Do you own a business or work for a company that would like to participate in our Paid Internship Program?

We are looking for local businesses that are interested in providing meaningful internship opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our program helps participants gain valuable job skills, build confidence, and work toward competitive employment in the community.

If you believe your company would be a good fit, we would love to hear from you!

Testimonials

" I clean the menus, help sit customers at their table, I help scoop chips, I roll silverware, clean the menus, and sometimes take out food to customers. I help when needed. My favorite part about the job is asking my coworkers or boss what else needs to be done and greeting/talking to the customer."

- Aidan, Mi Casa.
